If you’re looking for a place to get out on the Ice before the water freezes over, located just a few miles away from Sylvan Beach is the Rome Civic Center and Kennedy Arena. This Arena has a full size Ice rink, which is used for various sporting events. These events range from figure skating and ice hockey to youth skate programs.
Kennedy arena is also home to the Rome Free Academy Varsity Hockey Team. Amongst these sporting events some learning programs are held and public skating is open periodically throughout the week.
